There are many other artists that are similar to Florence and The Machine. There are a main few that i think stand out in beeing similar to them.
1. Lily Allen
This is from Lily Allen 22 video where she and some other girls are getting ready in the mirror. After seeing this we thought it looked really effective using the camera as if its the mirror or just having girls all getting ready together, so we want to re-create this in our video. Here is her video.
2. Kate Nash
Kate Marie Nash was born 6 July 1987. She is an English singer and songwriter based in London. She had a UK hit Foundations in 2007, followed by the platinum selling UK number 1 album Made Of Bricks.
Kate Nash is also very similar to Florence And The Machine. Her style of music is aslo indie. I really think she was inspiration to Florence And The Machine as she was already making music befor they where.
Here is one of her very sucessfull music videos- The Pumpkin Song. I love this video as its all in a cartoon type visual, it all looks surreal. Many artists have taken this approach within some of there music videos. I would of loved to do something like this but as a group we thought it didnt go well with the song.
